I CAN NOT FIND THE WATCH FACE (Android Wear 2.0)

Did you install the watch face on both watch & mobile?
Android Wear 2.0 does not sync the application automatically from mobile to watch(a lot of users blame Google for that…). You have to do this manually, by going in the Google Play Store of both devices.
Please install the application on your watch as well.

To do that, open the Google Play Store on your watch, and you can either:
– scroll down to see if the Google Play Store suggests you the wear app installed on your mobile that is missing on your watch
or
– search for the watch face by hitting the search icon on top

 

PREMIUM NOT SYNC ON WATCH/MOBILE (Android Wear 2.0)

It seems that the stores of your two devices are not sync.
It is not something related to the watch face itself, it will do this for every app if not sync 🙂

The sync of the purchase between watch & mobile takes sometimes time, as it is notsync all the time by the Google Play Services. This is not something handled by the app itself, but by the Google Play store.
There are different ways to enforce the refresh of the payment of apps, please try the following to see which one will work:
– Reboot the watch/mobile
– Go in the the Google Play Store on your watch/mobile, in the « my apps » category
The sync should be done.

 

HOW TO ACCESS SETTINGS

All Watch Faces are accessible via the Google’s « Android Wear » Application on your phone.
Find it at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.wearable.app

You will find three last used faces icons and a button MORE.
Click MORE button to open the full list of your watch faces.
One you have selected the desired Watch Face, click the GEAR ICON displayed on the Watch Face preview to open the settings panel.

 

WATCH FACE DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE LIST IN ANDROID WEAR APPLICATION ON MY PHONE

If a Watch Face is not visible in Android Wear, it means there was a problem with synchronizing phone and watch data.
In order to force the synchronization with your watch you should try to hit the « Sync apps » button in the settings of the Android Wear application.
if it still does not show up, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall Watch Face
    (GO TO SETTINGS – Application Manager, in Downloaded OPEN the Watch Face info and uninstall it. You can also uninstall it from the Play Store app.)
  2. Disconnect the Watch from the Phone
  3. Restart the Watch
  4. Connect the Watch and the Phone again
  5. Install the Watch Face from the Play Store
  6. Wait a few minutes. Watch Face should be synchronized.

 

HOW TO DISABLE « OK GOOGLE » TEXT

Please say “Ok Google” and use this function 5 times, then the text will disappear. It may be back after several weeks so to disable it say “ok Google” just once.

 

UPDATE TO ANDROID WEAR REQUIRED, WATCH FACE SETTINGS OR WIDGETS DOES NOT WORK

If your settings do not work, if the widgets of the watch face stay empty, or if your watch shows you a notification that you need to update your Android Wear Application on the phone, it means that your watch didn’t update its software correctly.
If your Google Play Services is lower than 7.x , you need to update the system.
Why? Because all new software will start to ask for the required update and it will fail to work. Once you update it correctly, it will work efficiently.

Follow the following steps:

  1. Uninstall the Android Wear application on the phone
  2. Restart the Watch
  3. Install the Android Wear on the phone
  4. Wait (it can take some time)
  5. Check the version

If it is now 7.3.x and up – the installation was SUCCESSFULL!

BUT if it is still lower than 7.x you will have to do the Factory Reset of your Watch.
Here are the steps you must make:

  1. Uninstall the Android Wear application on the phone
  2. Go to the Watch Settings and click the Reset Device – it will do a Factory Reset
  3. Once the watch is again in operation it will ask to install Android Wear
  4. Install the Android Wear on the phone
  5. Wait till the software synchronizes, it may take some time (even 1-2h in some cases)
  6. Check the versions of software regularly (like shown in youTube movie)
  7. Once Google Play services is 7.3.x and up all will work correctly

In some very rare cases you will need to do another factory reset.
In this case uninstall all the Android Wear related software on the phone together with the Android Wear.
Why? In order to minimize the amount of synchronized data sent from a phone to a watch.
