You might notice that the top right side displays a static MANAGE shortcut, which is dedicated to the watchface’s management app.
It can no longer be customized.
WatchFaceFormat limits the number of customizable areas, so I thought it would be the right place to access the watchface management app.
The watchface management app is required to handle the free / premium monetization model (instead of a full paid watchface), and to install the corresponding version of the watchface on your watch. It is also used to update the watchface with new versions, and will evolve in the future with new features, depending on current discussions with Google.
Stay tuned, and do not forget to enter periodically in it to check the watchface updates 🙂
N.B.: If you uninstall the watchface’s management app, it will also uninstall the watchface from your watch.
